The Cottage Garden

“The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul.” – Alfred Austin 

 

It is this concept, that the nurturing of a gardening feeds ‘not just the body, but the soul’, that gave us our main motivation to create a thriving space for our own produce. What else do you do with a plot of empty space, wheelbarrows full of materials and seedlings of imagination? So, armed with our shovels and rakes, we created a little cornucopia of freshly, grown produce that soon transpired into, ‘The Cottage Garden’. We have truly cultivated the meaning of ‘locally sourced’ as our harvest does not have far to travel on their journey from the vegetable garden, to the chef’s hands and finishing their trip onto our guests’ plates. 

 

However, we wanted the space to be more than just practical, so we extended our offerings with four al fresco dining areas complete with a myriad of flowers and horticultural delights. Each area in our quadrant of garden areas are individually designed to their own unique specification.

 Where better to enjoy a drink or indeed a meal during the Summer or maybe even Spring or Autumn.
