Our Dining Areas

Character and charm for every occasion

The Dining Room

The Dining Room

The Dining Room is the heart of the restaurant and the first room guests see when visiting The Bat and Ball. The open plan layout and high beamed ceiling in addition to the large brick fireplace creates the epitome of decadence which is an ideal backdrop for your dining experience. The tasteful mix of vintage and rustic décor only enhances the coziness of the environment. The Dining Room accommodates parties of 2-8 and up to 48 people.

The Lounge Area boasts historic features of the restaurants past. Light and airy with large bay windows that offer views of the duck pond in summer yet befittingly cozy with the open log fire which is perfect for the cooler months. It provides a homey setting for tables of 2-8 to relax in whilst still being offered the full restaurant menu and attentive table service. Diners can also bring well-behaved dogs to accompany them for lunch or dinner in the lounge.

The Long Room is fresh and inviting and runs adjacent to the main dining room. Large sliding, barn doors offer the option of separation from the restaurant allowing parties of 2-14; up to 28 people, privacy for meetings or smaller parties. One of it its prime features are the two bi-fold doors that open out onto our beautiful courtyard.

The Snug

The Snug

The Snug area is most definitely evocative if its name. Tucked behind the bar, The Snug is a popular choice for private functions and intimate dining. Being a separate area, it allows parties of 8-16, to enjoy each other’s company away from other diners whilst also offering access to the courtyard. The leather sofas, low-beamed ceiling and inglenook fireplace only contribute further to the undeniable charm of this room.

The Courtyard

The Courtyard

The center hub of The Bat and Ball, The Courtyard is a true ‘sun trap’. With a retractable roof and patio heaters, The Courtyard is perfect for cocktails in the sun or for guests that are looking to make their dining experience al fresco. Diners will also enjoy a full restaurant menu with attentive table service with (fingers crossed) a little British sunshine.
